GMTV

Only thing I watch on ITV is Corro and occasionally the Football (with the god awful pundits / commentary).

GMTV was okay, whenever I used to catch it being off, ah well, Chiles drove me mad at the World Cup.

Not my cup of tea but then again breakfast TV is usually cack and has been for years.

Anyone remember when TV-AM staff went on strike in the 80s ? They showed repeats of the original Batman instead and ratings went through the roof.

Am I the only one who watches TV but avoids ITV altogether? It's just too glam and fake, just seems like shallow channel. Don't even get me started on the sister channel celeb updates, ugh!

I dunno how people can watch TV before 6pm really. Apart from kids TV it's all dross IMO.

This. I don't watch TV in the morning, but if I did, it would be BBC news probably, so at least I know whats going on.

I wish Christine Bleakley would damn well sit up straight! Does my nut in leaning over and sitting all wonky.

Dan Lobb is yummy to look at in the mornings though..... ;)

Isn't that kind of the point though? It's perfect for me. I'm off to work, so I'm not going to be watching the telly for more than 30 mins while I make breakfast/eat breakfast/pull some clothes of the rack to wear, and I want to have a general idea what the news is, not which piece of vacuous celebrity fluff is coasting through an interview on ITV.

The fact it repeats so much is so that people waking at different times can do the same thing. Makes sense to me.

same for me. I've not got enough time in the morning to see everything, never mind twice!

Batman every morning was friggin ace during the strike that summer, made me a fan of the show for life from there on in.

Times change though, back then variety shows/segments were the spice of life, now it's all instant news, lifestyle and debates. On that you might as well go with a sky/bbc news type show, the all things for everybody format is as dead as saturday morning tv sadly.

For me the last decent breakfast tele was the big breakfast in it's pomp in the mid 90's. Reminded me a lot of the saturday morning shows in the 80's, the superstores, tiswas's of the world... put a smile on the face before heading to work.
