I use a 22" Samsung, gaming at 1620x1050.
I am just upgrading for the hell of it as my current set up is pretty good at most things but building new set ups is fun![]()
get a better monitor and then spend the rest on beer.

OR, know that the 8800gtx is over a year old and its replacement is already over due. stop being silly, its actually good advice. just how well do you think 3 gtx's would work anyway?
Thanks for the replies, Yeah i'll probably just hold out for the 9800,
I dont really fancy having a space heater sitting under my desk if one 9800 can come close to the same perfomance.
The main reason i was wanting to upgrade is the 650i fatality mobo i have is holding back my cpu (it is a Q6600 G0) and its stuck at 2.7. So i have itchy feet and want to upgrade but from hearing your advice i reckon i'll put up with it and wait for the 9800 and build a new single card system around it.
Judging from reviews dotted around the net of 3 x Ultras in tri-sli quite well albeit at 30" monitor resolutions.
However in the ops case given the monitor he is using it would be completely pointless. I would go as far as to say 2 8800GTX are overkill.
in that case you would always wait and never upgrade because there is always a new piece of kit out within 6 months![]()
If it's for the fun of building it consider modding your case or making your PC silent. These activities can absorb lots of cash and be at least as interesting as a new build. I think you'll get more gains from these activities than you would from an upgrade right now.
