Pretty good i would say considering the haswell i7 4770ks are renowned for getting hot
this is not delided
and set @4.5ghz @1.260v

My first time at internal water cooling :D the flow rate is great and the 2x 360 rads do not even get warm lol
next is to get the R9 295x2 waterblock, i am inpatient and might just buy it from somewhere else as OCUK are starting to take the pee, as all there R9295x2 blocks have been on preorder for i dont know how long, its been a wile with no update at all on release dates or even when there getting them.
-------------------------------------------------

so far the water cooling is great under 70c @4.5 :D
this makes it more pointless in my upgrading/sidestepping to devils canyon as there is no point what so ever......
though due to my motherboard issues could just be a setting in the bios thats wrong but anyhoo i might just jump to z97 from z87.

Think diving singl 290 off a 4.5 4770 will be fine.

And yeah, forget temps, we want to see what it looks like :)

Of course it will. Overclocking the cpu will give slightly higher minimum fps, but even at stock a 4770K is easily enough to drive a single 290. That isn't even up for any kind of discussion, so post number 2 is pretty unhelpful imo.

I know perfectly well what bottleneck means - I am asking you to explain what you meant in post number 2, when recommending that the OP delid his cpu (risky procedure) in order that he could be able to gain extra mhz in order to drive his gpu???

If not for reasons of a potential bottleneck?

Just for the record, a bottleneck is when 1 part of a system is working to its maximum potential, whilst at the same time preventing another component from operating at its maximum performance level.

hehe youuuu guyyyyys :D

well i had to go all ghetto so that i could get my drives 6x to fit in the case LOL
1x 360 rad in the front and 1x 360 rad in the top and 1x 120mm rad at the rear :D its a wonder they all fit lol but apart from the cables at the bottom of the case its a pretty clean build :D

though i am upgrading/sidestepping from my z87oc board and i7 4770k to a z97soc force and 4790k devil as they should be arriving in the post tomorrow :)
looking forward to seeing if this devil chip is any better than my current i7 4770k when overclocked.... also needed the upgrade for broadwell when it arrives :D
also having 2x chips now i might delid my i7 4770k if the devil is good.

You may need to delis the 4790 for more jigabutts, so your guy can get some good lovin... Them gpu's you know thy don't like to play safe.

Just kidding obviously :)

Bought them all in the OCUK MM :)
