I know perfectly well what bottleneck means - I am asking you to explain what you meant in post number 2, when recommending that the OP delid his cpu (risky procedure) in order that he could be able to gain extra mhz in order to drive his gpu???

If not for reasons of a potential bottleneck?

Just for the record, a bottleneck is when 1 part of a system is working to its maximum potential, whilst at the same time preventing another component from operating at its maximum performance level.

I'm running crossfire hd 7970 with i3570k 4,5ghz(now delidded,is not that hard),so I hope it'll go further(waiting for the parts)
When I play Crysis 3 (we all now this game is heavy cpu dependant+ all on ultra settings,push your gpus).
4,6 ghz on my cpu,I've seen gpu usage % higher not much (1-2%,not always obviously).
When msi afterburner reports gpu usage say 96%-98%,is that bottleneck to you?
