Come on, you know how fast threads get replied to, people cannot and will not respond to everything, especially after they have seen the initial posts which they do not like from a poster.

Of course I don't read the amends. I've not got all day. If you need to make amends then you shouldn't post such bold statements in the original post if they could be wrong and regardless of the OPs later contribution was still wrong. It also then becomes insensitive and offensive if people are that way inclined to find things insensitive or offensive in their situation.

I've never watched it but it was mentioned to me today.
I was doing a couple of courses and one was about CV writing which I need to be able to pass onto students.
The lecturer asked us about our outside hobbies and I declined to tell her because believe it or not I even have close friends that don't know what I get up to.
At that point one bloke turned round and said 'Its Tommy Saxondale, I know where I know you from now'.
Another woman turned round and said 'Bloody hell, you look so different in a shirt & tie, I know who you are now'.
Good Lord above. You just don't listen. THE WAY IN WHICH YOU WRITE YOUR POSTS IMPLIES THAT YOU ARE THE AUTHORITY. YOU BACK IT UP WITH THE ARGUEMENT 'I'VE BEEN THERE/DONE IT SO I KNOW ALRIGHT!?. There it is, in a nutshell.

Dimple isn't a put down. I think it's actually quite affectionate, but it wasn't me that coined it.
If you're going to start a thread where people have their say, you can't be surprised when people actually do what you have asked. You're not a bad guy, and nobody hates you, but you seem to get on people's nerves. I was simply advising as to why I think that is, my opinion, but you have shot me down with, well, guess what; an authoritarian style post, implying that my views are stupid and ill-founded.

You have power here. A lot of the user base here are about as friendly as a prison cell. Since one cannot use insults (something I am thankful for) people try to use sarcasm and generally try to make you feel like you're a waste of space. I know it happens everywhere else more but that doesn't make it right nor good.
Posts like this undermine people's opinions on things. You imply authority because you were there. Well guess what, 'being there' doesn't mean you know it all.
Not sure why I'm getting involved with this. I have no issue, but I'm just trying to answer your question. Turns out it's everybody else is in the wrong, not you.

Uhm, you were the one that bought it up in this thread? I'm merely commenting on what you have mentioned. Also, if you see the quotes that I posted, saying 'Mind you, you weren't even born' is, to me, tantamount to saying 'if you weren't there your opinion doesn't count'.
Why are you so defensive? You seem to think you have a hard time on this forum, and when you enquire why this is, you deny the response you have received!

You have taken at least two of those out of context - but hey, its an internet forum.
The first reply was to iBot and I needn't say anymore on that one because I was taking the wee because thats all he did.
The 2nd one has to be shown in context so please link because I can't find it but I'm sure its of me talking about a concert I was at and 'You had to be there'.
The 3rd one is correct and he didn't have a clue what he was talking about which was backed up by somebody just after me.
You will have to do a lot better than that.
You have to read it to who it was made to.
It was iBot who does nothing but troll and got suspended for it.
Everybodys comments on here are valuable unless they troll.
