Go sober in October

Sorry, if people want money from me they need to do something worthy of it.

Walking for 5 miles, playing computer games for 24 hours or not drinking for a month isn't a challenge worthy of my money. It's been 3 months since I last had an alcoholic drink, it's been so tough...

My mate just cycled from lands end to John o'groats and received a nice donation from myself.

Lets all get drunk and donate stupid amounts of money by accident instead. :p
 
Getting slightly sick of these campaigns now to be honest. Frankly I think all charities do fantastic work but if I donated to all the ones I cared about I'd be skint.

most dont event get more than a quarter donated aswell big con.
 
In October...

Don't wear socks. Socktober.
Don't eat pies. Zeropitober.
Don't have sex. Ocuktober.
Don't play video games. Nogametober.
Don't live in October. Deadtober.
 
Couple of people on my FB are doing it but as of yet have no donations. Me, I enjoy going out for a pint to much so won't be partaking in this.

Oh yeah, it's nearly time for that no shaving charity gig too. Yawn.
 
I gave up drinking and smoking 6 months ago, and have no intention of returning to either. People are fine with not smoking, but the minute you tell them you've stopped drinking it's a different story.

You'll never realise how heavily dependent our culture is on alcohol until you stop drinking it.

Indeed. I don't mind a drink now and again. However I often decline a drink and people look at me as though I have a second head growing out of me. Pretty strange.
