i dont belive this,as i work from home the women called a short while ago.
giving me her name and address and asking if i was the engineer that did the install.
i said yes and she said she was verry sorry and told me when she recives the bill she will post the cheque and thanked me for doing a good job

god somehow i do feel better,i just need a bit of courage to tell my wife.
i dont think it will bother her cos we are so close like best friends.

Yeah, deffo.

Just tell yor wife what happened- odds are she'll chuckle at it. Mention that she's since called and apologised.

End of the day- you didn't bump uglies with this woman and have nothing to hide.
 
Just tell the wife what happened and jokingly tell her you've still got it and she's got a bit of competition. wink wink nudge nudge.

wtf, i'd have got home and been like "omg you'll never believe what happened" i'm sure the wife will just laugh at it.
 
Good luck telling the misses mate!, Im sure she'll understand and laugh it off. If not then what can you do? you didnt do anything wrong, you'll just have to let her calm down and try talk it through.

Either way I agree with a few others and you have to tell her. If she goes mad or not, it'll help your trust as and help her realise you tell her everything.

I'd tell my wife personally, we don't have any secrets and are pretty open about everything.

Still, I have to laugh about being put in that situation. I'd have probably babbled a bit then ran off...
 
i dont belive a few words over the phone has made me feel so much better, the sickness in my stomach has gone and iam having a bottle of stella.
when my comes home iam going to tell her.

What were you all worked up about? I can't believe you found it hard to sleep, jesus.

I'd have gone home and said casually over dinner "you wanna hear a funny story?". I'd then have proceeded to tell her absolutely everything, trying to dramatise it as much as i can and if shes anything like my ex girlfriend she'd have just laughed and gotten on the phone to tell all her friends about it.
 
Personally i wouldnt tell her anything,

While you may have a great relationship or whatever, it will always be playing on her mind everytime you go out and do a job if the same thing will happen again,

Although only you know whats best i suppose
 
Jeez, If I told my Miss' we'd just have a laugh. I'd only contemplate not telling her if she didn't trust me, which if the case in your relationship your on a downer anyway.
