I wonder if being a father will change you over the next few years, it will be interesting for sure.
It will if he reacts badly to getting less/little sleep. ;)

Then, there's a glorious lull for a few years before the real stresses and strains start. :D

Ah don't panic fella....I'm 32 & it's all good  More money, more experience & less time until you retire ;)

You old git!

For some reason I actually thought you were older, don't take that the wrong way :)

I was also wondering why they are still in hospital though, I hope everything is fine with the family.

Baby Vis had a minor infection (he was very sleepy for the first 48h and had jaundice, and blood tests showed that his immune response was raised), so he's had to have a 5 day course of antibiotics (penicillin, basically).

Anyway, all of his blood checks have been getting better everyday, and his immune system is now working at 'normal' levels, so it looks like the infection has cleared up nicely. The paediatrician is going to check him tomorrow morning, and hopefully she'll give us the nod to take him home. All the midwives are optimistic - he's very lively and energetic now.

It'll be the best birthday present ever, albeit one day late. The champers is in the fridge, ready and waiting....
