Godzilla - Trailer

Despite a lot of negative reviews I Really enjoyed the film, saying that, most of the negative reviews are ones I've read on the internet, every 'real' person I know that has seen it enjoyed it.

I didn't find the story too family orientated and there was plenty of action ,stunts, explosions and destruction

Guess you have to go in open minded

6/10.

Saw it over the weekend with the missus but didn't really think much of it. I admit I hugely enjoyed the '98 version but this just fell flat on the human storyline bits.

I thought Ken Watanabe's performance was hilarious and just poorly scripted, with him looking like he'd been shipped from another planet everytime he appeared on-screen. Brian Cranston was superb and I thought he was a key character in the film. I thought he could have carried the film really well otherwise because I didn't feel connected with any of the other characters.

The 'Big G' fight scenes towards the end were really well done and I loved his atomic breath addition, which I wasn't expecting.

The film was 'ok' but I just didn't feel it at all. I loved Godzilla '98 and obviously those that preceeded it. Cloverfield too I enjoyed hugely but I just didn't get the same feeling with this film.

Came into the thread to see if it was worth watching but thanks for the spoiler. Edit your post for others.

Terrible movie, there was no real acting in it apart from Brian Cranston's character. Big let down for me 2/10. Fight scene at the end was good and thats just about the only good thing i can say about the movie.

It looked so much better on the adverts and it could have been a much better movie if u ask me.

Went in with zero expectation and came out pleasantly surprised !

I didn't look at my watch once which means I wasn't bored at all, so for an action movie it pretty much did its job. It's not a great movie, no, it never will be but it's decent enough for a watch. 6/10.

Awful movie and this coming from a Jurassic Park fan.

Really can anyone tell me what Sally Hawkins' role was? She looked lost.

Going from nomination for best supporting actress to this :(

Has to be 4/10 even transformers movies were better than this?

2/10

Finally got to see it. 120Kr well wasted. Luckily saw Xmen DOFP 1h after...

Should call it Mothra instead. Wow I dunno what to say It goes from cool >> turd >>> retardedly stupid >>>Dumb ending..

So in the 50s we nuke Godzilla, fine ok...He comes back to just kill 2 giant monsters ALPHAhunter my ass, he doesn't even eat them just kills them ridiculously comically for practically no reason?? Boredom?? Then walks off back into the sea? What the actual heck?????????? and in the mean time we shoot him with tanks missiles machine guns.. The HAlo Jump ??? LOL what was that crap seriously that's meant to make sense???

I hate the main character and his entire family/hero unbelievable nonsense he survives through.

The monster fights look like guys in Sumo suits at the county fair which is terrible not a homage to the 70s.

So many things they could have explained/made up to make the story plausible yet they make up some crap about his nurse wife/kid/bomb disposal expert that knows how to work clockwork detonators. Oh jesus please god wipe my mind.

Watched it, liked it but won't be in a hurry to see it again. Was impressive in IMAX, my son (13) loved it and wanted to see it again.

6/10.

I just want to know why creatures that are millions of years old had developed EMP defense weapons.
Were they fighting aliens back then or something?

I thought it would be a typical monster movie when i went to watch it and that's what i got so i wasn't disappointed. Not like i was expecting it to be Oscar worthy.

Kinda wish Brian Cranston hadn't done it though. After BB he could have had the pick of what he wanted movie wise instead of this. I imagine he did it for the big payout instead.

To be fair I can't imagine it will have damaged his godlike status (see what I did there?? ;)) with BB fans!!

I know Godzilla is a big lizard essentially, but what actually is he in this movie?

He seems to be like some kind of freakish guardian angel put there at the creation of the universe. Why does he only rise up when the MUTO's are unleashed, and then disappear back into the depths when they are gone?
