Godzilla x Kong - the New Empire (2024)

This is on streaming already. Literally 6 weeks since it's cinema release, even for a film like this that made over 500 million at the box office.

I'm still glad I saw it on the big screen, but this still seems very soon. Maybe it's just Warner Bros films.

100%, watching in the Cinema for me is the best experience. Despite some drawbacks with other audience members most of the time its fine. Nothing beats seeing the big screen and how immersive it can be on a good movie. Very surprised too being on stream so early but nothing surprises me anymore with WB.

Apart from the cool fight scenes, I didn't like this at all... the story, art style, stupid boring human side mission and Kong scenes looking like a video game.

Loved it, perfect brain switch off and enjoy flick.

The bit where Kong went to ask his bestie Zilla to come join him in his fight was the most hilarious point of the movie, Kong literally pointed to a portal in the ground and Zilla did not understand Kongs sign language at all so just went for him instead:cry:

Watched this last night and thought i was in some sort of neon fever dream, i guess it's meant to appeal to pre-teens and those who can suspend their disbelief that one aircraft can fly using pixie dust, that RADAR works under water, that telepathy is now a thing, and that the shaft of Kong's axe is now part bone part magical see through redish stuff because why not, it looks cool and whatever.

Pretty awful film IMO.
