Gogglebox

It sounded like utter tripe based on it's description, but was totally hooked from the 1st show I saw. There are some very funny people out there, no matter what your background, ethnicity etc.

Of course they get told to watch specific programmes. That is kinda the whole point of the show. To see the way different people view the same shows.

I dont know why this surprises you?

I find the German guy hilarious and the Mother of the high pitched geeza. Shes dumb as hell and it cracks me up.
 
I know this is a very old thread, but as a fan of the show, I just wanna say RIP to Leon Bernicoff who has died aged 83 after a short illness. Leon was always on gogglebox with his wife June and seemed a really nice old fellow, and could be very humorous at times. Plus, him and June were one of the few couples who seemed genuine and didn’t play up for the cameras.

A quick bump to say that I’ve also stumbled across this show and it is actually very funny indeed.

Also interesting to watch old shows pre-Boris being PM.... strange to think how things turned out.

Mrs and I watch it religiously, often has us both in tears with laughter at some point.
