going 3D, is it worth it?

They can do 3D without glasses already, but they're working on the price...

It isn't just the price that's holding such displays (called autostereoscopic) back, unfortunately. The viewing angles and distance you must sit from the screen for the 3D effect to work are currently extremely limited, making them suitable for specialist applications only (mobile displays in particular). When these problems are ironed out the technology will be attractive for monitors - imagine full 3D OLED glory without 3D glasses :D.
