Going abroad on holiday will be ILLEGAL from monday!

You'd have to be nuts to go on holiday abroad at the moment. You might end up stuck there for months if a local lockdown happens.

The Bald and Bankrupt guy, Benjamin rich is it? will have to stay away from the UK if he still wants to make his videos huh? ;) random thought
I haven't read the legislation but I assume there would be provision for work related travel which cannot be done remotely. He's a travel journalist so he may still be able to travel.

It's effectively already illegal during lockdown for you to travel abroad for a holiday. The difference from next week is legislation is being introduced following the end of "stay at home" and you can be fined £5,000.

Yeah, well unless you're rich and own a home abroad then you're exempt.

Seems crazy to me, just test at both ends, we went on holiday easily enough last year after a clear test, masks on for the flight, simple really.

Tbh had my first jab and after 2nd was hoping for maybe a vaccine passport to get across to sandander on ferry later on this year, maybe compulsory cabin

Would you get a refund if you tested positive? I know why ask you lol
When we went last year the test had to be 72hrs before the flight, which allowed for the hotel to be cancelled with 24hrs notice. Also the flights could be rearranged if you tested positive, luckily we were negative :D
