Going away - what to take pc wise

I'm off away for a few months (not prison but close!) and would like some ideas what games\gadgets etc to take with me. Taking a laptop (AMD XP-M 2500 with integrated graphics

). What should I take to keep me busy/entertained on long boring nights!

Im sure any combination of MMORPG should keep your life at geek heights. If your after gadgetry, then ive always wanted a USB coffee warmer

could come in handy for those chilly nights.

That's why I suggested a datacard. It plugs into the PCMCIA/PC Card slot of the latop but gives you 3G speed internet

Expensive though

But good if you're desperate

It's not a phone.

Oh but you could always use of to VOIP

if your worried that the laptop wont take anything too graphically intensive... how about getting hold of a copy of Uplink?

3G isnt that bad - you can get a data unlimited tariff on Vodafone for about £40 a month, and data 250 for less. Obviously more expensive than a fixed broadband line but a damn sight cheaper than it has been!
