Saw this on reddit and I like the layout of this dual screen setup. Currently I'm using a 34" ultrawide and an adhoc 24". I'm using my computer mainly for a WFH and wondered if anyone went from an Ultrawide to a normal larger style flatscreen? On my secondary display its had my work calendar and my chats (Google based company). I don't game on my desktop as much now and wondered if there was a game I would play in the future and miss the ultrawide style screen. Your thoughts?

Been looking at a similar set up myself. Currently got a 35" 3440*1440 ultrawide which I do really like as it's great for work (spreadsheets/word/email) but I also like the format for pc gaming. However it doesn't play nice with the PS5 as it won't even do 1440p over HDMI and the borders look cack anyway.

Repeatedly look at the 42" C2 but put off by having to work on it and I think it's just slightly too big and I don't have space for that for games and an ultrawide for work.

So thinking of going 32" 4k with a portrait monitor at the side to aide work. Think I'd slightly miss the ultrawide format on some games but I'm sure I'd soon get back used to 16:9. Seems to tick most of the boxes.

I use a 38" UW as my main monitor and then I've currently got a 27" setup in vertical (was a old monitor before I got the 38") and it works well for my needs, looks near enough like the picture you posted.

I'm a bit weird and strange but I kinda like symmetrical layouts like the one above I saw on reddit. However on my desk is my ultrawide and its disproportion. Its driving me nuts and doesn't look like a clean setup.

I don't think I want to go as big as 42 because its a big investment for a monitor! I stretched out when I got this 34" so I won't want to spend as much. What options do I have for a large screen other than the 34" ultrawide?

I got my 43" monitor for a great price, still retains 4K, 144hz. Its a Iiyama monitor, but for the money is great. I have owned a ASUS ROG a few years back, and although a great monitor, the iiyama is a bargin at 1/3 to 1/2 the price.

Go for whatever you think is great. I am currently using two alienware monitors, a 38" UW and a 34" UW! To my mind, standard monitors (non-uw) get too high when they are above a certain size. I am very conscious of moving my head to look up (!!!), so I much prefer UW for a large monitor. But it's up to you... what suits one doesn't suit another.
