going go enable ahci !!!!

Hi, have ordered a OCZ Vertex 2E 120GB to go in my main pc (not the one in my sig), will be enabling ahci setting in bios, I have 7 yes 7 other normal hdd, just storage drives, using standard sata enabled in bios. The question i have is will this mess up, ie lose the data etc on the other hdd's by enabling ahci??

Nope! I had mine two HDDs on my old install, switched to ahci when i got my ssd. When i replugged them in after i had sorted the SSD out, everything was fine.

Your current hard drives should be fine, it tends to only upset windows on the boot disc if you don't do the reg mod.
