Quick question,

Is it sad to go out by yourself?

By way of explanation I have 2 tickets to see Airbourne tonight in Dundee. The friend I was going with from work has been told he can't change his shift and won't finish till 9.30pm.

Another friend is too ill (projectile vomiting...) and the rest don't want to go :(

Either I have crap friends or bad luck :/ Either way is it sad going to a gig by myself?

I've been to gigs by myself. Its not sad at all. And I'm probably 20x cooler than the people who say otherwise in this thread.

What? Of course it's not sad. I've been to plenty of gigs on my own, purely because most of my friends don't like Power Metal. You're there to see the band, not your friends.

Kind of depends on the situation. I know some people do it and are happy to.

I think a concert's fine - as you're there to really support the act if that makes any sense. Town in general on Sat night is probably a bit sad.

never done it but its not like you can stand and talk to mates while a gig is on anyway

the people saying its sad are probably the same people who go to the cinema in groups of 10 and talk all the way through the film
