Going out on your own...ever done it?

And I don't mean going out on your own and meeting people somewhere, I mean going out at night and not knowing anyone.
Im wondering this because there is a club night and gig I really want to go to, the club night is EBM, electro-industrial, industrial, goth, etc and the gig is Nachtmahr ( similar kind of music as club night). But the only problem is that I don't know anyone that can make it/anyone that likes that sort of music aha

I always go out with a few friends so was just curious of how people view it/if they do it.

I think im just going to go out and hope to meet some ramdomers/drunkards

I have when I was living in Glasgow. Met loads of people in various bars, swapped plenty of stories and ended up in a drinking contest with a squadie and a naval officer once.

I'm just going to go it will be a good night either way and its not as if i'm socially retarded (sorry if thats not pc ) so i should be able to get chatting to a few people...especially if im drunk

I go to gigs by myself all the time, don't go out to pubs or clubs by myself though, lol.

I go to plenty of gigs on my own but the problem for me with that club night is that i dont have any friends that would go and i really want to go
