Looking at the cpu forum this seems like a good chip to go with.. is the rest ok and what psu can i get away with please?
I have an Akasa 400w ATX2.0 psu that i suppose wont work on here..

Your Akasa PSU will be fine.

But I would leave out the Arctic Silver and get your a 650i Ultra motherboard for the price of what the AS5 would have cost plus maybe about £7 more. Reason being the 650i Ultra is a FAR better motherboard, and the AF7 Pro already comes with MX-1 which is just as good/slight better than AS5. Rest of the spec is great though, CPU is excellent, GFX are superb, cooler is very good and the RAM is very nice for performance : price

Unless you have a particularly large monitor you could get away with the 256 MiB X1950 and save a few quid.

Antec Earthwatts 500, and imho you don't need another HSF.

The motherboard will limit you before temperatures, my stock heatsink went up to 3Ghz on E2140.

EDIT: Sorry, missed the bit about your psu. As said it will be fine.

Thanks... That will save me not having to get a psu...

Will there be any diff in the 256 gfx from the 512, i only have a 19" monitor? I dont want a power pc but want to play games on it..

How many posts do i need to sell my old psu,gfx,mem,mobo on MM?
