When you get your new HDD, unplug the SATA cable and power cord on your VISTA HDD.
This is the only way to be 100% sure you will not fudge your windows disk I still use this method after using linuc for a few years now
To access your linux HDD you can simple press F12 (f12 on my mainboard anyway) when the bios starts, this allows u to select which HDD u wanna boot from.
Also in my bios there is an option to select which HDD you wanna have boot first, I set this to my windows drive. When I wanna go into linux I press F12 on the bios screen and select my linux HDD.
Simples.
I m getting a new seagate 500Gb HDD tomorrow along with a new CPU, my idea was to stick it on that (and hope)....and I don't think I ll be able to get the thing on the internet becasue i m using a D link wireless G card >_>
