Going to get a monitor this week, whats best?

As title, i have been looking on and off for a while but now i just want to get one

Looking at 27" and 1440p (if possible with my budget)

Budget £300-350 at most

I was looking at the dell 27" but i dont think its aimed at gaming. I dont play much fast paced stuff but do play shooters from time to time, mainly into single player these days!

Whats the best screen for me!

BenQ GW2765HT is really nice, though at your budget I'd look at the cheap 4K monitors like AOC U2868PQU, they're also pretty good even though TN. I don't think the jump to 1440p is worth it.

ASUS PB287Q? Very nice 4K monitor, but you'll probably need to go to SLI / 980 Ti to get good framerates at high.

Only reason im not looking at 4k is my hardware wont support it well enough to justify it unfortunatly, so i think 1440p is the highest i can go on my current set up

Stick with 1440p and get a Dell 25 or 27".

I've got the Dell U2515H and its fine for gaming, I got rid of my 144hz TN panel for it and wouldn't go back.

Ok thanks mate, i did keep ending up back at the dell! Is there any performance difference between the 25 and 27?

Check badass' site for the u2515h review of you haven't already it's very detailed.

I went for the 25" because the price is great and it's just right for using without any scaling.

Think i may go with the 25" actually, 27 seems a bit over kill but i dont want to think its too small lol!

Also worried i may notice the response time in gaming but i doubt i will? My current old lg monitor is 23" and apparently has 5ms black to black so i doubt id notice any difference at 60fps?

Speaking from experience, I would go for the 27inch 1440p. The extra screen real estate is amazing....for gaming, for movies....couldn't go back to something smaller and in my mind 27inch is the sweet spot for 1440p

Would 1080p upscaled still look good on 27" if needs ever be?

Just unsure if the price difference is worth the 2"?

Or do i go a size down say 24" but go for g sync and a higher refresh rate? What would you guys do?

Wondering if something like this will suit me and my spec better as i can barely max games at 1440p anyway and maintain 60fps

I think 25 is better than 27 at 1440p, sharper, takes up less space but still ok without scaling.

thats what ive ended up going for
