Taking the girl for a short break, does anyone have any recommendations for places to be? Bars, restaurants, ferry to another island maybe?

Any local knowledge would be great :D

Went last summer, going again in August.

1. Kefalos bay (paradise beach) - does what it says on the tin. The restaurant up the hill does a mean calzone.
2. Visit Mastichari. Small town opposite side of the island to Kardamena (North). Few bars and tavernas. There is an amazingly cheap kebab style place called Kenny's where you'll have the bet god damn kebab you've ever had for 2 euros. No jokes.
3. Kos Town. Great for a day out and a mooch about.
4. I heard a trip to Bodrum is a good day out but we never got round to doing it.

Enjoy!

Would have been 20 years or so ago i went there.

Definitely do the active caldera visit on the nearby island.
Also a day trip to Bodrum was worth it

I stayed in Kardamena and remember a nightclub with a patio door to get in!

Bicycle hire was good to get out of town for a bit

Cant remember what else i did now

Bodrum is quite interesting. But watch yourself in the markets, some of the people in there are dodgy as hell. Don't put a lot of money in one place, spread it across multiple pockets - both in order to help yourself barter and avoid being mugged...
Lots of lovely wooden yachts in the harbour!

Take your lass to a bar, get her on the ouzo, take her back to the room once she's a bit tiddly then take her back doors off. Rinse and repeat.
Thank me later.

Lol'd.

I didn't hire a car no, taxis are pretty damn cheap, and I couldn't be arsed with the hassle of it all when on holiday, and we all like beer. If you really wanted to, yes they are readily available. From about 30 euro a day IIRC.

Yeah my Dad got done in Turkey somewhere, good advice tbh.

Take your PC with you and play Skyrim non stop. Then return home and ask your girlfriend why she left you.

That would be my itinerary. I'd type it up in Word and everything.

A CHALLENGER APPEARS!
