Hey people, i have been torturing forum members for advice lately on a new build for around 800.00. After much deliberation and hardware changes based on forum suggestions heres what i have come up with.

Once again if you see any problems or have any advice let me know, but i am pretty sure this is what im going for:

Motherboard:
Asus M4A89GTD PRO/USB3 AMD 890GX

CPU:
AMD Phenom II x4 Quad 955 Black Edition (AM3)

RAM:
Corsair XMS3 4GB DDR3 Dual Channel PC3-12800C9 1600Mhz

Graphics:
ATI HD 5770 Vapor-x

Optical Drive:
Sony optiarc AD-72415

Cooling:
Arctic Cooling freezer 7 PRO REV 2

Case:
Thermaltake VL10001 Element G

PSU:
OCZ ModxStream 600w
8-pin PSU extension cable 25cm

Hard Drive:
Samsung SpinPoint F3 1TB

Thats it. I read that the motherboard and HDD i have conflict in some way of the HDD clunking? Anyone expand on this?

Thanks for your time and patience with a newcomer! :D

An SSD would be a bit expensive for him wouldn't it?

Looks sweet OP. :)

Edit: You could get the titan Fenrir and might have a better time overclocking for £10 more. I don't know how the Freezer 7 compares but the Fenrir is supposed to be amazing.

Firstly I read about the issue between the mobo and HDD in the reviews for the mobo i think. It says theres a fix but i dont know if i want the trouble of it especially on my first build.
I also considered an ssd but unfortunately its too expensive currently, i may upgrade to one in the future, they sound great. The build above runs in at £758.00, so the ssd is out but i could upgrade to the fenrir and still be in budget if you think it would make a difference.
Thanks, im just concerned that i get all the parts and when i go to build it i am missing something, like a cable, screw or something. Lol. Want it to run smoothly.

Again keep the comments coming if you see something that could benefit me or the build! I have about £40 or so to play around with.

personal opinion here, but i think for 30 quid i'd go with the 6 core option. It just seems a better long run option. you can add things like cpu coolers etc as you get on with your gear.

btw your stuff all looks good so far.

Spend an extra tenner and swap the freezer 7 pro for a titan fenrir, it runs rings around just about anything and everything in the same price range
