going to start watching 24

It's great. I'm currently re-watching it from the start on season 1 and loving it. It's showing its age and won't feel as groundbreaking as it did at the time because so many other shows have copied its formula since then, but it's still excellent.

Don't bother with 24: Legacy though.
 
A few years ago we made the same decision - we'd see what we'd missed out on at the time.
By the time we were nearing the end of S3 it all felt so formulaic that we just couldn't face another series.
 
Elisha will annoy you just how many times she gravitates towards danger. But overall it's an enjoyable show, with season 5 being one of the best (president Logan).
 
It was great at the time but my season 4 or 5 you realise it's so repetitive. I mean how many moles are there :D

At that point, it starts to become a parody of itself.

We did exactly the same at the begining of February. We never watched 24 when it originally aired.

Its a good watch but, by god the writing is so lazy. Characters doing things that are designed to keep the plot going even if it didn't make any sense. As someone said, Elisha just seemed to move from one bad situation to another.
