I'm bored today, everyone is at work, GF has gone home, most of my mates are 100 miles away where I used to live, and I really want to go and see that new Cars film at the cinema....

So, going to the pictures by onesself? Yay or nay?

I always considered it a Nay, but a lot of people i know consider it a yay.

That dosnt help much does it.

Yay for me also, it much better on your own, least you wont the the g/f asking whats happening every few mins

Don't see why not.

Take a bottle of coke with you, and a cheap bag of popcorn - avoid paying £5 for the same as your local corner shop would give you for £1.50.

I've done it a few times when I'm out of the city for the day and get bored, I just catch the matinee, you'll usually find there's only a handful of people there anyway, and some of those will be student's etc also on their own.
Go for it : )

Best benefit so far!
Indeed.

GF/Wifey "So I know you have told me loads of times but can you just go over this whole Vader, Han SkyWalker thing and is CP30 there love child did you say "

Pictures on your own gets a Yay from me

I do it often, so as to get away from people so to speak. It help me to relax and focus. I also prefer to go alone on weekdays because you dont have all these annoying individual - especially teenagers disturbing.

Go for it man, it is a sort of stress relief therapy!! :D

i did it once, to see the last star wards film. felt a bit wierd to be honest, but wasnt that bothered though.

DONT WATCH CARS!!!!
PLEASE I BEG YOU SAVE YOU SOUL AND DO NOT WATCH THAT FILM

i saw it last night and not just a part of me died and can never be filled again

I went to see see Serenity by myself, literally. Not only did my gf not come with me cos its not her type of film, but I went to see it nearly at the end of its run and I was the only person in that cinema for the entire film. I liked the film but it was a bit wierd sat there by myself. Also turned out to be the most expensive film I've ever watched as I got speed trapped by the fuzz on the way there, doing 36mph.
