Mornin' All,

Me and the boyfriend are planning on going to the zoo this weekend, but we're unsure which to go to. Our top 2 choices are either Colchester Zoo or London Zoo, but which is better? Anyone been to both who can give a good recommendation?

And aside from those 2, whats the best one you've been to? Everyone loves a day at the zoo after all :D

Cheers guys!

I think Colchester Zoo is better, but it's been a couple of years since I went. I went to London Zoo last year and it was OK, but not that amazing. There weren't many animals around to see really, maybe I went at a bad time.

I went to Chester Zoo with the boys and that was amazing! One of the best I have been to in the UK. Bristol Zoo was quiet good too.

Best zoo I've been to is probably Rapperswil Zoo in Switzerland.

My local one is Whipsnade Zoo, been a good number of times over the years, always good fun.

There's also Woburn Safari Park down here that I've been to a few times.

Hmmm, I think I'm siding with Colchester for this weekend, it does look pretty cool.

I went to Howletts in Canterbury a couple of years ago, good day but would have been a whole lot better if it hadn't poured with rain all day. Also had quite a few visits to Longleat Safari Park as a kid, good times!

Never been to Colchester Zoo, but went to London Zoo when I was younger and had a great time!

Not a Zoo, but Boston Aquarium is amazing!

London Zoo is rubbish, all the good animals have moved out to bigger zoos where they have no space.
The Tiger at London zoo is scared of people so they have boarded shut all the glass so you cannot see him, there is no Elephant or rhinos, and there seems to be as many listed enclosures with nothing in them as there are working ones, only truly epic part was the Gorilla Kingdom.
Just my experience though.
