Going to to installing suse 10 need some guidance

hi,

going to install it on a blank partition i've created using PM8, on the same disk as my winxp install.

i've not formatted the partition to any format (NTFS etc), will the partioning be done when when i run the install from dvd ?

i have tried searching for the info, closest i came to the answer is when someone has actually pre created the partitions b4 install.

Yeah ... the suse installer will spot the free space and make the appropriate swap/root and home partitions for you .... the DVD installer seems much better for some reason than the CD one ... i found it better anyway ...

I managed to kill my install trying to get XGL working last night and i don't have time this week to look into it more ... seems complex and non-obvious
