Ok, so i have been thinking about this for a while and have decided to give uni a crack, I finished college with a diploma and went into work, Now however i am so annoyed with retail that i have been looking for other jobs, and it seems my diploma is useless for anything apart from getting into uni,

I really need some advice on this situation though and i have no idea who i can speak to, I really need advice with funding/application etc,

Is there anyone i can speak to regarding all this?

Thanks

You could try a careers advice place, they have given me loads of help in the past.

I presume you'll be entering via UCAS or by contacting he universities yourself.

Yeah, i have been looking around the ucas website and found a course at the (pretty local) manchester uni that i am qualified enough to enter,

Would somewhere like connexions be able to help with this?

I'm not really sure but I always saw Conexxions more as GCSE level. Maybe it's because I only used them at the age. Have a look around! I suppose you'll be applying through clearing later in the year? I fear I'll be doing the same due to my foundation course going boom.

I will hopefully be applying asap, i just need some advice first, UCAS is saying that i can still apply up to the 30th of june,

Do you know where i could go for careers advice? I have only really heard of conexxions

I will catch up with this thread tomorrow, really tired at the moment, goodnight :)

That is for clearing, which is filling up courses that aren't full already, therefore you might not get onto the course you want.

30th of June is for standard applications, clearing is after that.
I am fairly sure that this 'B' route of applying will mean less spaces are availible in courses as they are already offered to those who applied in oct/nov.
