Hi

I dont ware any jewellery apart from a nice seiko watch. However my friend that i dont see so often turned up and had a gold bracelet. Is this a bit chav or tasteful and worth considering ?

It did appeal to me and was tastful sort not big and chunky, quite fine and dellicate looking :)

How much can i expect to pay for a simple but good quality one ? or is it a bad idea in total ? my watch is silver.

Chavvy tbh, definately chavvy. To me it screams "Look at me, i've got a few quid, see. I can prove it, i'm wearing it in my wrist!".
I've been given bracelets and necklaces as gifts but they all go in the same box. A box marked 'Ewwwwwww'.

i have a very nice Silver Seiko watch also with a small gold chain on my neck and wrist, nothing chunky at all - certainly not chavy, the chain on my wrist is on my left one, and watch on my right - seem to go together fine.

Silver on one hand and gold on the other just doesnt look right.

And yes white gold for the win, or platinum

I think most gold jewellery has the chav effect especially if its chunky, dont get me wrong though, there are plenty of people who were it tastefully.

Only I have a mate who has just bought a huge gold ring, a big thick gold neckclace that could probably tow a car and a matching bracelet and as a result he looks like the worlds biggest chav, and he cant see it, hell he loves them
