Not sure if this has been discussed but they are remaking the old classic Goldeneye on the N64.

Think it's only Wii and DS though which is a shame really. :(

Used to love up this game.

If it's the original on the 3DS with some sort of netplay... I will cry happy tears of nostalgic love.

I can not wait for this.

Golden eye, worms(new one coming out on the wii soonish) and mario cart nights with plenty of beer.

Hell yeah. Could just do with a projector to make it even better.

They aren't remaking 'Facility' though, so that's killed the multiplayer for me.

Stack, power weapons and license to kill for me any day! :p

Nah, it's a shame they're not including it. Bit silly really. I'm not sure whether to buy this. I bought an N64 a year or so ago specifically to play Goldeneye again.

"It will also include 5 enhanced levels from the original GoldenEye 007 as well as the new game itself, including the Archives, and Facility"

bunker used to be a great level aswell

Cradle 4 player with predator mode. Action Replay ^_^ was ace back then.

Also this game made me a southpaw for life. Solitair control setup is to blame for that!

Dont know why but i have a deep feeling this will be an epic fail.

Nothing can match the quallity, fun, hours of beer nights that goldeneye on the N64 bought. Saying that i cant stand fps on the wii! does my nut in :P

I agree. If it is a remake it will get boring fast as we are used to modern shooters. It's like saying Super Mario World was the best platformer ever. Playing it now though I would be bored in 15 minutes. I can remember how much I loved Super Mario 64 as it was so revolutionary. 6 months before i got Mario 64 I was playing Sonic and Knuckles for example but when I got the DS version I was bored in a couple of hours.

Plus 90% of the fun of goldeneye multiplayer was the split screen multiplayer. Adulthood has meant that is impossible to do now for me at least.

I honestly don't understand why people get so excited about Goldeneye, there's no denying it was a superb game in it's time, but there's so many better FPS games out there these days. I was an absolute killer with the magnum, we had a two on one game once and I cained my mates 20-0.
One of them was a world SFII champion, so not used to losing, he never played me at Goldeneye ever again.
Despite such happy memories, I'd rather play Battlefield or Bioshock.

We had a big thread on this remake when the trailer was shown at E3.

Personally, I think it should be left in the past.

Imo they should have waited until they had a 720p system to do it on and perhaps do what MS did with Perfect Dark on XBLA. I've been playing through it recently to unlock the Skedar premium theme and really enjoying the nostalgia again. I've done that now so it's on to the rest of the achievements/unlocks.

It was pretty good value when you consider the gamer pics, avatar tee, prop and premium theme.

The only game that really made me want to get a Wii was put on hold indefinitely after Free Radical Design when into administration. Luckily Crytek bought them out so there's still a chance that we'll see TimeSplitters 4 someday, and hopefully it'll be multiplatform or at least on something other than the Wii so I don't need to buy a console for it. :)
