Just got these today an my initial reaction is WOW. I am only using my onboard sound and it is way better than I could have hoped. I am planning on getting an X-FI XtremeMusic in the very near future for games but I dont hink you can go wrong with these babies.

Yeah, they're great aren't they!...I have a pair too 
Although they sounded great from the box I'd recommend just leaving them on overnight, for a few nights at least, to burn them in a bit. They just seem to get better the more they're used
btw, I recommend the ASUS XONAR sound cards too (as do many other members). I recently got myself a Xonar DX (pcie) and it's fantastic! Games, music, movies etc have never sounded so good
