Just configured the new Golf R online and by the time the seats, wheels, metallic paint etc were added it came to:

Firestarter, i just never got along with the 335i, didnt like it from the minute i got it. Got 3k above book price for it so was pretty good deal for me. Always loved my Golfs, still got an mk iv R32.

Firestarter, i totally agree with you, im pretty disappointed with its pricing structure. Guess ill start looking for an M3 this afternoon

Not sure yet, just started looking this afternoon, got about 25k to spend on it. Dont really want to spend anymore, as want some cash left over from the sale of the 335i.

Im not going to, im actually erring towards a Golf GTi or an S3 now, sold the 335i to get some money out of it while it still had good residual, seems daft to spend 25k with that in mind.

I think the bottom line is, and certainly for me, no one wants to pay 35k+ for a Golf. It just doesnt make sense, before anyone starts ive still got an R32 that ive had from new!
