Gone off gaming

We get threads like this every summer. I only spend an hour here and there gaming during the summer, even if i 'try' to play more i lose interest. For me this is simply because during the summer there are so many better things to do.

When winter rolls around, the weather is rubbish and the evenings are dark the PS3 will get a proper workout again.

yeh I feeel bad palying games when its light and sunny outisde

Also for soem reason I prefer only gaming in dark...sometiems sun on screen and bright room makes viewing hard lol. But a mental thing.

Its light until like 10pm atm lol.

In winter it gets dark at 5pm and its like just feels good to be indoors and paying games.

I only liek to game atm like 11pm-3am

This thread is beginning to scare me!!!

I have been gaming now ever since I got my first ps1 when it first came out many years ago, I am now 33 and I have to admit I still LOVE playing my console. Even when I became a Dad I still found time to get some gaming in most nights. I always manage to keep certain games around that I know I will always play (the old pick up and play games)

I just have never got to that STALE stage with gaming.

What scares is that is this something that WILL happen to me, is this something that happens to all gamers after a while?? Maybe it will, but I just cant see it.

I was always under the impression it would hit me when I get arthritis in my fingers and I cant physically play anymore?????

Again this thread scares me lol

I get bored of console gaming all the time, I leave it for a few months and play pretty much exclusively PC games and leave the 360 and PS3 to the GF, but I get the itch every so often and play loads for a month or so but I always go back to the PC

when I moved in with my misses about 4 years ago that sort of killed gaming for me. Hardly ever get chance to play. Maybe a few hours in the evening after shes gone to bed and then a few more hours at the weekend.

Repeat and rinse as I say for 4 years and you just lose touch with gaming.

I still buy the latest releases that interest me mind but because I cant play when I want to I soon forget what I was doing and where I was at and then a new game comes out and well...

Been going this way for a few years for me. The strange thing is I don't actually feel like I've lost interest, it's more that gaming in general doesn't hold my attention as it used to.

I've finished several games this year, but the list of barely if at all touched games is far greater and growing. I'm trying to force myself to stick to one game at a time as much as possible, just finished AC2 and currently a few hours into AC:B. It does help, but I'm possibly only doing that because I don't want to have wasted a lot of money on many games over 3 different platforms.

I doubt I'll ever be as into gaming as much as I have been in the past, for now at least I can still get some time out of it by putting in the effort to play the better games out there. I'm still buying games as if I'm trying to fill 20+ hours of gaming time a week (though mainly for pc these days). Once that stops I'll pretty much be done with games, because right now the idea of being interested is almost all that's left. That said I'd be fine with it not happening for a long time yet.

My problem is Im on the internet so much.

I swear if there was no internet Id prob be gaming much more.

I made a point off not wasting time on internet and found I ended up playing a lot more games.

Problem is when you game single player its alone. But if you go on internet whatever its online gaming or chatting it feels much better as its also like socialisng.

I spent years only playing like online fps games just because my mates were online every night....Its feels better to play with your friends than sit alone in your room single player for like 1-5 hours lol....I could do that when I was a kid but now with internet I dont need to be bored or alone in my room if I chose to stay in...I think this is a reason for my personal decline in single player gaming.
