I also bought some bluerays what you think:
Final Fantasy 7 Advent Children- Complete
Universal Soldier Regeneration
Planet Earth Boxset
Kingdom Of Heaven Directors Cut
Gladiator Special Edition
Alien Anthology

This will be on my pc (see sig) which should be up to it. My monitor is a dell u2711 27" and i got some nice headphones.

Headphones? 5.1 at least surely.

Not needed i got some senheiser (terrible spelling) and there great for games and checking trailers for films on the net.
Ill be up in my room lights off headphones on watching my bluerays in peace and quite the atmosphere will be great :)

Congrats, now get some decent blu-ray films.

recommend away:)

Apart from:
Universal Soldier Regeneration
Planet Earth Boxset
Kingdom Of Heaven Directors Cut
Which ive never seen before my blueray collection is gonna be films ive seen and loved in the past that i watch over and over. When it comes to films i havent seen before i dont know whether to get them cheaper as dvds and if i love them fork out more money for the bluerays.

So...? I'm 21 and Toy Story is amazing.

Red Cliff - Parts 1 & 2
LOTR
The Matrix Trilogy
Black Hawk Down
Inception
The Dark Knight
Troy
Taken
Gladiator
Band of Brothers
The Pacific
300
Inglourious Barstewards

My, my! You're a big boy. :p

Terminator Salvation
Sin City
X-Men Origins
Kill Bill volumes 1 & 2
The Bourne Trilogy
Land Of The Dead
Goodfellas
Fast & Furious (newest one)

Toy Story is a great movie for both kids & grown ups and to disregard it because of your age just means you're missing out on a great set of movies.

Planet Earth was my first purchase and thanks to Santa Claus I now have Life and Wonders of the Solar System on blu Ray to add to the ever growing nature collection.

Also now got The Pacific on blu Ray to go with my Band Of Brothers blu ray.

Just need a bigger tv as 32 just don't cut the mustard these days.

Planet Earth is awesome on BR. Was one of my first purchases.

Unfortunately, despite the reputation and whilst it does look a lot better than the DVDs, a lot of the shots on Planet Earth are substandard. It's still worth owning but far from the ultimate Bluray "demo disc" that many would have you believe.

As for the OP - well done on Alien Anthology but not so sure on the rest :)

Personally I'm trying to keep my Bluray purchasing to just the "biggies" - special editions and box sets of stuff I really like and want to keep the ultimate copy of. Recommendations from me would be:

Avatar Collector's Edition
Ultimate Matrix (10-disc import only version)
Blade Runner (5-disc import only version)

Some nice recommendations there lads. I would like the lord of the rings but im gonna wait for the extended versions.

Batman begins and dark knight will be a purchase later on.
300 will be another, love that film. I got on dvd is the difference noticable?

As for the pacific i had that for xmas but the dvd version. I also own Band Of Brothers on dvd. I might get them on blueray oneday.

Whats pans labrinth like ive never seen it, but its quite popular with some members on here.

It's a fantastic film, fantasy film during the war film. There's no question you shouldn't get it.

I also liked The Fall http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0460791/ I liked the way it was filmed and the simple but enjoyable storyline.

edit: just realised how many times I said film in that post.

i'm 21 & have all 3 toy story's on BR and saw the 3rd in cinema!
Films on blu-ray you need are:
Avatar

cloverfield
Resident evil - esp the 1st picture is amazing
Back to the future

We finally switched to a nice 42" Plasma and BluRay player today! Just ordered the LOTR trilogy online for a great price and going into town tomorrow to pick up some more. Definitely want to get Toy Story and Avatar.
