You made the right choice, quad core is way too expensive right now.

Good luck with the build, take your time making sure the AC F7 sits nice on the cpu, the thermal compound that comes on it is very good.

Temp wise they are ok upto 60 C, personally I like to keep mine well below 50 C to be on the safe side.

Remember to get Intel TAT to check temps and Orthos of course for stress testing.

Thanks mate, I will get TAT... it seems more reliable than Core Temp. And Orthos is the daddy!

Still not sure whether I should install my WinXP or my copy of Vista Ultimate Retail (the 64bit CD). I have gone back to Xp for STALKER as it doesn't like Vista too much... think I will install XP for now.

Yea Im sticking with XP for a while longer yet, although Vista does look good and is tempting me.
