Hi guys

I know there has been loads of threads about which is the best 120mm fan.
But what im looking for is a fan that will be on a fan controller.
At low speed I need it to be VERY quiet
At high speed I need it to have a good cfm
So when im playing games it keeps my pc cool and when im surfing its quiet.
I am water cooling and I use headphones when gaming, so at full whack it makes no difference if they are very load.
Is there a fan that can do this and that also has a 3 pin connector to go onto my fan controller.

Thanks

I've heard good things about the Akasa Amber 120s. They push a good amount of air for the speed they spin, which also makes them uber quiet

I think the amber will be ideal, with you watercooling TBH I'd expect it running on 7v 24/7 will be fine. In other words I don't think you'll need to run it on a fan controller.

Iv already got two Amber fans on the radiator and yes they are very quiet at low speed. I just dont think they are cooling my rad down enough at high speed.
I am looking to use them as my case fans and some thing that can push a little bit more air as my rad fans
Thanks for your reply.

What sort of temps are you seeing?

Something on face value looks odd there.. your sys temp looks high. What fans do you have in the system and what do they do, what case is it, where is the rad?

The case Im using is an Antec p180 and the rad is mounted on the back of the case, outside.
I have got one 120mm intake at the front and one 120mm at the top of the case.
There isnt one on the back as that is were the rad is attached to.

Is the top one taking the hot air out?

Is the Rad mounting over a fan grill on the case ( which should therefore cause flow from the fans on the Rad to go in/out of the case ) if so which way are the fans blowing?

does it go near silent through a fan controller?
Would you guys say thier better than AcoustiFan dustproof?

Yep they do,i'm using a low speed on my Thermalright SI-120 heatsink & 2 of the high speed ones for the case they are set at the lowest setting and are very quiet the lowspeed one's should be even quieter.
