Good am3 cpu cooler that will fit in a normal size case ??

Hello

I had this problem when i built my new gaming pc and ended up having to buy a new case, i have a work pc built from mostly old parts in a retro full aluminum coolermaster case, however i am using the stock am3 fan and its awful!

AMD Phenom II X4 Quad Core 955 Black Edition "125W Edition" 3.20GHz (Socket AM3) - Retail - this is the cpu i have in it, and its not overclocked.

I have about <12cm high clearance, which unless i am reading the specifications wrong MOST fans seem taller than that on OCUK.

What should i get to replace it ?

arctic cooling frezer 7 pro is under 120mm, it comes with a 92mm fan for instance

it wont let you hit 4Ghz but for the money it's a pretty good cooler

Sound like its not much good if you have more than 2 sticks of ram in! i cant believe this is as bigger problem as it is, its not a new case i have but it was a high specification case back in the day!

+1 thats the best bet to go , i honestly couldn't see that not fitting in your case
