That's from memory, I know there are other good ones as well that I have in my mp3 collection. I'll keep updating this post though. :) Although a few of these aren't actually beginner basslines, I've included them for the simple fact that what one beginner may find hard, another will find it easy. I found some basslines really easy that my friends couldn't do.

is hsyteria by muse really beginner standard?

its easy to play on the geetar but i think you would need some serious stamina to play that on the bass for the full length.

This is true, it is hard to keep up, but that's the point. Try this and if it makes you die then try Pink Floyd - Money. This is a well easy riff that kind of bounces along.

If you're recommending that a beginner plays Jaco,
*n

It doesn't seem a very hard line to play, as far as Jaco goes. My brother plays it pretty easily and he could be considered a beginner.

Slightly OT but as there are some bass players in here, i was wondering how the bass solo on Rancid's 'Maxwell Murder' is rated difficulty-wise. You can listen to it @ Purevolume.com. Random i know, but i always thought it was really impressive! :p
