Hi folks. I have two driving games on my system. GRID and Dirt 2. They run flawless on my system so that's fine but I hate using a keyboard, especially on multiplayer.
I've checked out some game pads but quite a few of them have issues. Saitek (Mad Catz) has the issue with square analogue housing and non-precise and sticky analogue sticks and others are either too cheap or pack features I don't need. I've had experience many years ago when replacing a controller for my PS2 I got a Mad Catz one and after you use the stick, it'd pretty much stay put. Stupid thing. Seems Mad Catz never changed. Makes me wonder why they're in business.
So I need a cheap controller for two games. Precise sticks, good housing around the sticks (preferably round), black if possible, and wired.
I've seen the Saitek PS2700 and controllers like that but again, sticky useless analogue sticks.
I may use these for shooters from time to time also, so again, precise sticks that revert to normal possible when left go would be ideal.
I don't expect I'll use it much after I've over-played Grid and Dirt2 hence they need to be cheap.
Regards,
Lee
