heard sniper elite has a good co-op mode [haven't tried it]

Its buggy and complicated, borderlands is far better

Borderlands 2 for mindless fps carnage. Payday 2 for a strategy, thinking/planning game and fps elements. Failing that Minecraft or Minecraft FTB (modded) is a great game to play if you both are creative at building stuff.

Dead space has a good coop story mode compared to most games

Titan Quest and Torchlight 2, are very good if you fancy some action RPG with friends.

Borderlands 2 I think is the best for coop. Castle crashers is great fun too.
