Good Cop Shows.

Castle is good, the banter between the characters is always entertaining to watch, rather than other shows where it gets bogged down in the 'this is how it happened, endless explanation of facts' routine.

I like Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.

I'd recommend giving The Shield and The Wire another crack. They're both fantastic shows well worth persevering with.

How much of a chance did you give The Wire? It was a slow starter for me but once I got into it I couldn't stop watching!

I watched the Wire up until the end of Season 1, then the first couple of episodes of season 2 and it just became boring.

The shield i watched up until the last season i think and it just became the same old, nothing new.

Just about to finish watching Blue Bloods, its ok, not a bad cop show.

Wire Season 2 is considered the weakest one, not that it's bad but it's a total change of story from Season 1. I just finished Season 3 which picks back up with the Barxdale/Stringer story and it's excellent, I think Season 2 got better as it went along as well.

Just finished watching both seasons of White Collar - enjoyed them :) Waiting for S3

Neal Caffrey, a con-man, forger and thief, is captured after a three-year game of cat and mouse with the FBI. With four months left while serving a four-year sentence,[2] he escapes from a maximum-security federal prison to find Kate, his ex-girlfriend. Peter Burke, the FBI agent who initially captured Caffrey, finds him at a dead end in his search and returns Caffrey to prison. This time, Caffrey gives Burke information about evidence in another case; however, this information comes with a price: Burke must have a meeting with Caffrey. At this meeting, Caffrey proposes a deal: he will help Burke catch other criminals as part of a work-release program. Burke agrees, after some hesitation. Through the successful apprehending of several white-collar criminals, Caffrey has proven to Burke that he will help him, and that he will not try to escape again. This begins an unconventional but successful partnership.

Life on Mars? In all seriousness the USA version was actually alright when they heard it was getting cancelled so went of in a different direction. The ending was a bit surreal but still :p
