Good luck in getting oneAh! I didn't know there was an offer on. Could save circa £50, but not worth it imo. Definitely want the 5800X or whatever it's called.

I holding out for the Zen3 series too. Hope there are benchmarks released later today.
So... how are folks feeling about Zen 3? Price rise and no cooler (not that it was a huge factor to begin with). Will be interesting to see how they 5800X performs. Got very little stage time.
I wonder if motherboards will need a BIOS update to properly use all the new features
I would get the crucial memory, worth the extra for a bit more future proofing.
Better timings on the crucial set.

The 8 pack has the best timings but the crucial's are not much slower, both cl 16.
Glad you've said this, will investigate the Gaming Edge wifi. Was thinking of the Tomahawk, but will revisit the mobo scene!
Edit: Seems the X570 gaming edge is only £20 more (£180). Although I know a good B550 board doesn't always mean a good X570 board.
If you search in google for product code BL2K16G36C16U4R you can find 32 GB 3600Mhz for less than £140.Crucial is 3200mhz though right?
I like the offering. Cooler doesn't bother me, probably a good thing for the planet.So... how are folks feeling about Zen 3? Price rise and no cooler (not that it was a huge factor to begin with). Will be interesting to see how they 5800X performs. Got very little stage time.
I'm really torn on what to do. I want a good gaming CPU to pair with an RTX 3080. Currently thinking of the i7-10700K, but will wait to see the Zen 3 reviews. The 5800X seems pretty pricey if the £430 is correct. Puts it on par with the i9-10850K.I like the offering. Cooler doesn't bother me, probably a good thing for the planet.
I would buy the 5900x right now but.... The prices are just a little high to tempt me I think. I'll wait till next gen. I'm on a 3700x so I can well wait. Don't need to upgrade a cpu each gen.
