For me it seems too expensive for an astra, what do you think?

Ultimately it's my friends money so it has no bearing on anything, but it would be nice to know he got a good deal.

From what I remember they were going brand new for around £11k for the 1.6 SXI model a few months ago so that doesn't sound too good of a deal to me.

Seems a bit expensive.

Unless I'm mistaken, you can buy a new 1.6 sxi 3door (according to Autotrader) for about £11500-£12000.

R32, VX220, Celica, Scooby-do, BMW 330Ci, Lotus Elise S1.

Personally that is a more interesting list which I would quite happily spend £12500 and have enough for insurance or mods.

You can one of these for 4k - MKIV Astra SRI in either 1.8 or 2.0 or even 2.2. Heck for that budget get a GSI for 7k

Your winding us up as the price on that is plain stupid, not even vauxhall main dealers charge that.
