All strikes are rebounded but ghosts are so weak it's just maintaining that rebound energy rhythmically.

They're there to continue the feel of rhythm without having a wall of snare or am I missing something?

Most of these drummers are stupid metal drummers.

Billy Cobham, 'nuff said. He's now 65 and still rocks, saw him 1/2 years ago with a cuban based band that he has met up with I think, and he was incredible still. Met him after the show, great guy. No better than the billy.
