My spec wasn't meant to be bought, it was meant to directly compare Dell's overpricing in a way that was obvious.

As for not just playing CSS, agreed. Again this is what speccing is about, matching someones needs to a price, not doing what you did.

You seem to be a bit of a noob so I'll stop harrassing you.
 
You still picked inferior components for the price. lol @ you having to resort to name-calling and storming off in a huff tho tbh.
 
Guys guys, we've established that he can get better for the money.

My advice, is when you're ready to buy, consider the machines specced in here, or make a "spec me" thread in general hardware.
 
1800 quid!!!! for that dell, with a 17" screen WHAT!!!. Seriously you dont need to spend 1800 quid on a pc. I mean if you just play CSS then just spend 7-800 and get a stonking system and put the rest into a 24" screen.

Is that pre-overclocked? :confused:

Would be a beast though. Best to ask these questions in general hardware now though, unless you're still interested in game performance.

Really we need to know what games you play/plan to play and how much you're looking to spend first. If it's an unlimited budget and you want to play previous and games that are released in the next year then it's a good system.

Building your own PC is really not difficult.

Then get the Ultima 8800GTX and this monitor, should be excellent.

Or get the GTS and get a 24". The monitor will last much longer than any upgrade in the future so if you have the money now get the bigger screen for 1920x1200 gaming which is possible in all the games you have mentioned with the specs people are booting about apart from STALKER which you need Babylon 5 parked outside to run.
