Good free prog to rip cd to mp3

trouble is, you're severely limiting your choice of portable music players if you don't use mp3. that's the reason i use eac/lame. :)
True, which is why I've taken to ripping two copies one using lossless and one as MP3 takes up loads of space but I'm sure in future the MP3's will be redundant and I'll wish I had ripped them all lossless. Was tempted with WMA lossless as it was easier for media centre use but have gone with FLAC as I like the open source nature, it's quite easy to convert bettween different lossless formats so should present no issues down the line.

Back ontopic I use CDEx I've just got used to it I'm sure some others do a slightly better job but I'm using a lossless codec so I'm thinking I wouldn't notice the performance difference!

I've used Audiograbber, LAME, few others and could never differentiate between them for sound quality.

I now use iTunes, simple, straight forward to use and no hassle with certain CDs not being recognised.
