good games for laptops/netbooks?

IDK, i often play Red Alert 2 on my laptop, have also played Diablo 2, much better with a mouse but playable with the pad.

OP, can you not pick up a usb mouse for <£5 to use?

How about some of the old point and click games (monkey island etc), mouse controls but is a slow enough pace for the pad. Failing that I believe Grim Fandango would be ideal and work well on a netbook (works on the nc10 flawlessly atleast according to a few forums I have read and will be trying myself in a day or so).

Doom is old enough to predate mouse look. I've got it on my netbook, and it works great using just the keyboard with the original control setup.

Been playing World of Goo on my iPhone, epic game. There is a pc version isn't there? Might need a mouse as precision counts sometimes though

Broken Sword 1&2 are my favorite point N clickers. If you haven't played them I envy you!

Thanks for some olf the suggestions - just to open it up a little more, I have bought a mini usb PS style controller.

I know that the GTAIII series run fine on the netbook so going to play through them again - any more games you can think of for controller too?

I don't want to have to use a mouse as I'm off on a long driving trip to sweden and it's really for use on the journey etc, and the pooter will most probably be on my lap with no room for mouse.
