Right i am after a good Keyboard and Mouse i have looked at several mice and reading on here i decided against getting the Roccat. so what would be good solid mice that are good/great for both gaming and general use and i am need of a keyboard, i have a total of £40 to spend - what should i look at?

Razer Lachesis mouse is great for gaming/general use and I've not had a single issue with it since I bought it almost a year ago. As for a keyboard, I have a Razer Lycosa but I won't be cruel and recommend that. Had nothing but trouble with mine. Random keys stop working, touchpad has a mind of its own etc etc.

thanks for the Mouse suggestion - i will take a look, might just buy a good mouse and cheap keyboard til later.

what do you reccomend - better keyboard or a better mouse?
thinking about gaming a better mouse would be beest option right?

Ah missed the £40 bit :p

A good mouse takes priority over a good keyboard if you have to choose in my opinion.

You could get a Razer Copperhead for just under your budget which I hear are also great mice.

This mouse + this keyboard.

The MX1100 is out of stock at OCUK, but I can certainly recommend hunting one down, its a fantastic mouse. Here is a review of the MX1100.

As for the keyboard, it isn't particularly fancy - but it is good quality and gets the job done well. I have one as a backup keyboard.

I have tried the Microsoft one ( my friend has one) and it didn't compare to the MX1100. The logitech is much more comfy and the scroll wheel is better. Also, the sidewinder is wired - which annoys me now I am used to a wireless.

As for the saitek, it looks very strange - but I have not used it so I can't pass judgement. These fellas seem to like it. But again - its wired.

So yes, I would suggest going for the logitech over those ones, It is wireless, comfy, scroll wheel is magic and very sensitive. All-round lovely mouse.

I have the microsoft mouse and its fine but ive had better, my main concerns with it are that the lead is a not as flexible as ive had and that coupled with less than quailty 'pads' on the bottom doesnt make the movement as fluid as could be.
