Good laptop for lightroom?

Hi all

I generally use lightroom on my desktop but have a macbook pro which I use when away from home.

The macbook is a bit of a beast (it's the i7 15" which weighs a ton), and I'm struggling with using two different OS for laptop and desktop so I'm after a decent Windows laptop - ideally, lighter than the MBP but with an equivalent good screen.

I was toying with the idea of a Surface Pro, but it seems that you need to spend a lot to get the better spec (the i7 has iris 540 but is well into 4 figures) and there's also the keyboard cover to worry about. I do like the idea of the pen, so I'd be interested in whether anyone has tried lightroom/photoshop on the Surface Pro, and how they've found it. The Dell XPS 13 looks a good competitor at the price point, but I'm not sure it represents a good investment over a larger, cheaper laptop - the surface Pro offers something a bit different.

I had lined up a Lenovo Thinkpad E560 as a bulkier candidate, i7 with SSD and a HD screen for half the price of the equivalent surface. I've used IBM/Lenovo for years, and really like the solid build and keyboard, but the E560 is still quite a bulky machine.

And that's about as far as I've got! Any ideas for good laptops to look at would be appreciated, I'd prefer to compromise on the portability than screen quality and performance if it comes down to a choice.

Cheers
