Good memory for overclocking

2.3v :D rated for 2.1.

D9GMH chips are notorious for dying prematurely when run over ~1.9-2.0v :| good chips otherwise very overclockable.

I had 3x 60mm delta fans in the case for most of that time, 2x on the RAM and 1x on the NB - very very noisey but very cool... but even with that cooling those chips degraded pretty fast.

They were replaced (came with an OCing warranty) with a set of g.skill 6400HZ with D9GCT and they would only do 1152MHz tops stable - but by that time I was just content to run stock. Any gains from memory overclocking are hugely over-rated and not worth the wear on the memory.

could have been my mobo, getting a much better clock out of this board.

Finally got 400FSB x 9 = 3.6ghz and 1203mhz out the OCZ :)

current CPU temp 26c :D

i reely like my 2x1g dominators (corsair) but due to x64 os im using 2x2g at the mo.

Running 1066mhz no porb at the rated 2.1v whilst the cpu is @ 1882mhz fsb.

I belive i am corect in thinking that 800mhz on the ram = max fsb of 1600 so no reel need to oc till you go past that. (someone corect me if im wrong im new and the last thing i wan do is mis inform people)

Well I've just scored a deal on 2x2gb OCZ Flex 9200 memory. Seems to be one of the only decent 4gb kits out there! Hope to get around 1200mhz CL5 for 24/7

just an update...got my OCZ Flex 9200 up and running...got 2.26V actual through them at the moment and not doing too badly for a 2x2gb kit :)
